Rhino is returning Van Halen’s final studio album, A Different Kind Of Truth, back into print on October 23. The reissue will be available on CD alongside a 2LP set pressed on 180-gram vinyl housed in a double gatefold package.
A limited crystal-clear vinyl edition will be distributed exclusively through participating independent retail stores and Rhino’s website. The album’s lacquers were cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering.
A Different Kind Of Truth featured Eddie, Alex, and Wolfgang Van Halen alongside lead vocalist David Lee Roth. The record marked the band’s first original studio album with Roth since their 1984 release, 1984.

Originally released on February 7, 2012, the album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The project earned praise from both music critics and fans upon its initial launch.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1974, Van Halen released their self-titled debut album in 1978. The group went on to sell more than 75 million records globally, earning two RIAA Diamond certifications for Van Halen and 1984.
