Drew Barrymore will host Pillsbury Bake-Off Classic, a new primetime special airing Monday, Nov. 23, on CBS. The two-hour broadcast kicks off Thanksgiving week and brings the long-running home baking competition back to television.
The special airs from 8 to 10 p.m. ET/PT and will stream on Paramount+ (Premium). Home bakers from across the country will face five rounds of baking challenges that test their technical skills and imagination.
Each challenge asks contestants to put creative twists on Pillsbury products while showing their from-scratch baking skills. Assignments range from cookies for a cookie exchange to Thanksgiving pies.
Celebrity chefs Christina Tosi and Dook Chase will judge the creations in every round. The top baker from each round advances to the “Best in Bake” finale, where finalists will make edible festive wreaths for the holidays. The winner will be crowned the 2026 Pillsbury Bake-Off Classic champion and will receive a $25,000 cash prize and a KitchenAid equipment package.
Maria Carolina Comings, vice president and business unit director for Pillsbury at General Mills, said the return to primetime after more than 20 years is a way to celebrate the creativity and joy home bakers have shared for generations. She said the company wants to “inspire both longtime fans and a new generation of viewers.” The special will also share the personal stories, traditions and inspiration behind the bakers and their recipes.
Pillsbury Bake-Off Classic is produced by Studio Large Eyes, Pantheon Media Group and Juma Entertainment. Brielle Cohen is the showrunner. Barrymore’s talk show recently delivered its most-watched season premiere ever.
