Protein bar manufacturer RXBAR is expanding its seasonal product line this August with the release of RXBAR Nut Butter & Oat Apple Pie. The limited-edition release represents the brand’s first new fall flavor launch in more than four years.
The Apple Pie bar joins the brand’s Nut Butter & Oat line, which features soft-rolled oats, cashews, egg whites, and wildflower honey. Each bar contains 10 grams of protein, serves as a good source of fiber, and includes flavor notes of cooked apples, cinnamon, and pastry.
Alongside the new release, RXBAR is bringing back its Pumpkin Spice protein bar for a limited time. First introduced in 2015, the returning seasonal bar contains 12 grams of protein per serving and is made with dates, nuts, egg whites, cinnamon, pumpkin, and cloves.
The addition of an apple flavor comes as apple-flavored products experience growth in seasonal popularity across the food industry. According to Regina Cabrera, Senior Brand Manager at parent company Mars Snacking, both seasonal products were designed around simple, recognizable ingredients.
Both the Apple Pie and Pumpkin Spice bars will be available nationwide while supplies last. Retailers will offer the seasonal products in single bars for a suggested retail price of $2.79 and in five-count boxes for $11.99.
