The snack brand Linear announced that its entire lineup of layered protein bars has officially received USDA organic certification. This certification applies to the company’s existing inventory, including its original flavors and its recent product expansions. The brand remains one of the few options in the pre-packaged snack market to utilize organic whey protein within its primary formulation.
According to company documentation, sourcing organic whey protein requires a more difficult procurement process and carries higher production expenses than standard whey alternatives. Brand founder Mel Scott stated that the certification process was intended to establish a specific nutritional standard within the competitive protein bar category from the inception of the company. The manufacturing process intentionally excludes seed oils, artificial additives, and the alternative sweetener sucralose.
Each individual portion contains 20 grams of complete organic protein alongside up to 10 grams of dietary fiber. The nutritional profile is designed by the manufacturer to support muscle maintenance, assist gut health, and provide sustained physical energy. The bars are produced using real food ingredients and feature a distinctly layered compositional structure.
The certified product portfolio currently features three specific flavor options for consumers. The lineup includes the original Chewy Gooey Caramel, which features dark chocolate and a chewy center, alongside the newly released Sweet Cinnamon Crunch flavor. The third available option is Sweet Pecan Tortoise, which incorporates chocolate flavoring, pecan pieces, and a smooth caramel layer.
The newly certified items are currently distributed through multiple digital and physical retail channels. Consumers can purchase the bars directly from the company’s website, through Amazon, and at select brick-and-mortar storefronts nationwide, including Erewhon locations. The corporate management team plans to introduce additional flavor variations to the marketplace later this year.
