Jones Soda Co. has announced the return of its collaboration with Crayola through a limited-edition six-pack program. The release is timed for the back-to-school summer season and is part of the soda brand’s 30th anniversary celebration, which the company calls its “Dirty 30.”
This year’s product features a refreshed design and color palette meant to match the beverage brand’s look. The program represents the company’s strategy of utilizing brand partnerships to build consumer momentum.
Consumers will be able to purchase the product at retail locations and through the direct-to-consumer online platform. Retail boxes will contain six bottles and one collectible box. Online orders will also include the collectible box alongside four coloring pages and an eight-pack of crayons.
The six-pack will feature six different flavors, each inspired by a specific Crayola color. The selection includes a new fruit punch flavor inspired by Razzmatazz, orange and cream inspired by Sunset Orange, and pineapple cream inspired by Dandelion. The remaining flavors are green apple inspired by Granny Smith Apple, berry lemonade inspired by Robin’s Egg Blue, and Fufu Berry inspired by Razzle Dazzle Rose.
According to Scott Harvey, Chief Executive Officer of Jones Soda Co., the partnership aligns with the company’s anniversary strategy because of Crayola’s connection to color, nostalgia, and community. Anna Roca, Head of Global Partnerships at Crayola, noted that the collaboration is intended to inspire creativity across generations with a flavorful twist.
The program is designed to drive retail visibility and online demand during the high-traffic summer shopping window. The limited-edition packages will be available for a limited time while supplies last.
