Pop singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen has announced the upcoming release of her newest studio project, a 24-track double album titled Day and Night. The collection is scheduled to debut on September 18 through Interscope Records.
The double album is divided evenly into two distinct components, featuring 12 songs designated for the day and 12 songs designated for the night. The project features two different musical structures, with the day portion utilizing live instrumentation and elements of 170s-inspired psychedelic pop, while the night portion focuses on synth-driven dance pop.
To develop the record, Jepsen worked alongside a group of frequent collaborators that included Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and Cole M.G.N. The lyrics across both sections are designed to explore a range of human emotions, focusing on themes of joy, fear, love, anxiety, and escapist fantasy.
The first single from the upcoming release, titled “On Wires,” is scheduled to debut on Friday, June 26. Following the official album launch, Jepsen will headline the All Things Go Festival in New York City on Sunday, September 27.
The festival appearance will mark the performer’s first live concert performance of 2026. Pre-orders and pre-saves for the multi-volume studio album have officially opened online ahead of the autumn release date.
