Singer-songwriter Tom Odell has released a new single titled “Old Lovers,” featuring folk-rock band The Lumineers. The track is a re-imagined version of his song “Can Old Lovers Ever Be Friends?” from his 2025 album, A Wonderful Life.

Odell noted that he drew inspiration from the spontaneity, warmth, and joy found in the group’s music. The collaboration follows past live appearances together, as Odell toured globally with both The Lumineers and Billie Eilish last year.

“I was thrilled when Wesley and Jeremiah wanted to collaborate on this track,” Odell said. “I wanted to channel that feeling into this version of the song.”

The British musician’s previous album received recognition from NPR’s All Songs Considered and led to television appearances on CBS Saturday Morning and ABC News Live Prime. Over his decade-long career, Odell has received both BRIT and Ivor Novello Awards for his music.

Odell is currently continuing a summer tour schedule that spans the U.K., the U.S., and Europe. His upcoming festival lineup includes appearances at Lollapalooza Berlin, Sea Hear Now in New Jersey, and Blind Fest in Istanbul.

The summer dates also include a performance alongside The Lumineers at Virgin Media Park in Cork. Following his festival run, Odell is scheduled to join Sombr as a supporting act on select U.S. tour dates this autumn.

The songwriter initially transitioned from a writer to a singer during grade school when his band was unable to retain a frontman. After completing music studies in college, his subsequent releases have accumulated over 14 billion career streams, including his late-2023 single “Black Friday,” which reached number five on Spotify’s Top Album Debut Global Chart.
