TNT Sports will launch its sixth season of NHL on TNT coverage from Stateside Live! in Philadelphia on Wednesday, September 30. The live broadcast will take place at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex ahead of the season-opening matchup between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Studio coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time with the NHL on TNT Face Off pregame show. Studio host Liam McHugh will lead the broadcast alongside analysts Wayne Gretzky, Henrik Lundqvist, Anson Carter, and Paul Bissonnette.
The pregame show will feature live interviews, guest appearances, fan interactions, and game analysis prior to the 7:30 p.m. puck drop at the nearby Xfinity Mobile Arena. The studio team will also deliver intermission and postgame commentary throughout the evening.
The broadcast originates from an event area at Stateside Live! that opens to fans at 3:00 p.m. The venue offers access for local fans as part of the opening night festivities celebrating the Pennsylvania rivalry.
The Penguins-Flyers game serves as the first half of a season-opening doubleheader on TNT. Following the completion of the game in Philadelphia, coverage continues with a matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and the Colorado Avalanche at 10:00 p.m.
