With Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas presented by Humana underway, USA Today 10Best has once again nominated the festival for Best Theme Park Holiday Event, and fans are being asked to vote to help the tradition earn the top spot.
Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa is also nominated for Best Hotel for the Holidays.
Smoky Mountain Christmas has been a perennial favorite for the award. The USA Today contest is live now and runs through noon Monday, Nov. 30. Winners will be announced Thursday, Dec. 3.
Anyone is eligible to vote and may do so once per day, per device. A page with a link to the voting page can be found at dollywood.com/vote. Nominees in all categories are chosen by a panel of relevant experts, including editors from USA Today and 10Best.com, theme park contributors, and more.
Smoky Mountain Christmas runs through Jan. 3, 2027, with displays around every corner of the park. The Golden Ticket Awards named the event a “legend” after 15 consecutive “best of” wins. Guests can expect award-winning stage productions, culinary offerings, and 6 million twinkling lights.
Entertainment is a centerpiece of the festival. The family-favorite headline show, “Christmas in the Smokies,” returns to Celebrity Theater, where it has played every year since its debut in 1990. “Heidi Parton’s A Christmas To Remember” is also back in the Dreamsong Theater, with Dolly’s niece, Heidi, sharing songs and stories from her family’s Christmas traditions. Other returning classics include “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” “Christmas with the Kingdom Heirs,” “O’ Holy Night” and “Appalachian Christmas with the Smoky Mountain String Band.”
Glacier Ridge returns to fill Timber Canyon, Wildwood Grove, Wilderness Pass and Upper Craftsman’s Valley with an Arctic display. In Rivertown, the Christmas Reflections light show glows at night as five decorated trees light up and reflect onto the pond. In Country Fair, Peppermint Valley features red and white candy cane lights.
At DreamMore Resort and Spa, guests can gather around the two-story Christmas tree that brightens both levels of the lobby or watch the Christmas Tree Show on the pool deck.
