Margaritaville at Sea has named musician Zac Brown as the official godfather of its new flagship cruise vessel, the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber. Brown will christen the ship in Miami on January 9, 2027, and perform onboard as part of the inaugural celebration before the vessel departs on its first sailing.
The honorary role expands an ongoing partnership between the musician and the cruise line. Margaritaville at Sea currently serves as the presenting sponsor for the Zac Brown Band’s 27-show Love & Fear U.S. Tour, which included an August concert at Fenway Park where cruise vacations were provided to attending fans.
Brown also collaborated with the cruise line on the design, artwork, and music programming for Same Boat, a live music venue located aboard the new ship. The venue name references Brown’s song “Same Boat,” which featured Margaritaville founder Jimmy Buffett on a deluxe album release of The Comeback.

In addition to the Miami christening event, Brown will headline a concert in Nassau on January 28, 2027. The event will mark the first gathering of the full cruise fleet, bringing together the Beachcomber, Islander, and Paradise vessels.
Following its January launch from PortMiami, the Beachcomber will sail four- to eight-night itineraries to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. The ship will later reposition to Galveston in October 2027 to offer Western Caribbean and Mexico itineraries.
