The Hollywood Palladium has officially pulled back the curtain on the Vinyl Room, a new design-forward lounge that blends the aesthetics of 1970s Japanese hi-fi listening rooms with eight decades of Southern California concert lore.

Designed by Blueprint Studio, the space aims to transform the typical concert-going experience into a deeper, more intentional interaction with music history. The lounge serves as both a high-end retreat and a visual archive of the venue’s legacy, which dates back to the 1940s.

“Vinyl Room is more than a lounge — it’s a thoughtful tribute to decades of music history both at the venue and in Los Angeles,” the venue said in a statement.

The centerpiece of the room’s audio experience is a pair of MasterSounds Clarity-M speakers and a built-in DJ booth, emphasizing a return to analog warmth. The design details further lean into the theme, with tabletops modeled after vinyl records and a collection of vintage audio equipment, including a 1970s Sony reel-to-reel and a Lafayette dynamic microphone.

The room’s walls serve as a physical timeline of the Palladium’s diverse bookings. Featured memorabilia ranges from a 1940s postcard signed by Lawrence Welk to a 1991 show poster for co-headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys. Records from iconic past performers — including Frank Sinatra, The Ramones, 2Pac, and Adele — are also prominently displayed.

One of the most striking visual features is a “wheatpaste” poster wall, a textured installation that mimics the layered, weathered street art synonymous with Los Angeles concert promotion. The wall features archival posters from legendary acts such as The Who, Grateful Dead, The Clash, and Nirvana.

Industry analysts suggest the space reflects a broader trend in the live music sector: a growing demand for “experiential” hospitality that extends beyond the performance on the main stage.

The Vinyl Room is open to fans before and during shows at the Palladium. More information regarding access and upcoming events can be found on the venue’s official website.
