Moonshiners on Discovery Channel

Moonshiners returns to Discovery Channel for an all-new season on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The upcoming season highlights Appalachian distillers turning surplus farm crops into liquor while navigating local and international demand.

Faced with unsold grain, overflowing crop silos, and stalled agricultural exports, backwoods distillers fire up their stills early this season. The episodes document how operators move tax- and tariff-free product across county lines and international borders.

In the season premiere, Tim and Tickle operate out of Culpeper County, Virginia, taking on a $70,000 order for corn whiskey destined for Canadian buyers. Meanwhile, in Haywood County, North Carolina, distillers Mike and Jerry begin production early to fulfill a $40,000 order for high-proof strawberry-jalapeño brandy.

In Tennessee, distillers Mark and Digger secure a deal involving 20,000 bushels of corn. The duo faces time constraints to process and clear the grain before the local farmer requires the storage silos returned.

The series documents the risks, regional turf disputes, and operational challenges faced by the distillers as they attempt to fulfill large orders. New episodes will continue airing weekly on Tuesdays on Discovery Channel.
