The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles has announced its 2026-2027 season for Wonmi’s WAREHOUSE Programs. The series will present live, site-specific artworks and performances at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA on select dates from September 18, 2026, through March 2027.
The upcoming season opens with Beat of the Traps, a collaborative multidisciplinary performance created by Mike Kelley, Anita Pace, and Stephen Prina. Scheduled for September 18 through September 20, the production combines dance, percussion, a rock drum solo, and a monologue. This presentation marks the first time the work will be performed in Los Angeles in over 30 years.
In October, the venue will host Democracy Sessions, a festival organized alongside the orchestral collective Wild Up. The event features the United States premiere of British composer Oliver Leith’s large-scale piece Garland, which incorporates 130 performers in a musical procession. Later in the month, Los Angeles-based artist Emily Mast will present the world premiere of her unscripted performance work PLAY: A Play from October 23 through October 25.
Programming continues in December with Figuring Space, featuring movement and sound responses from four local artists and collaborative groups. The season concludes in February 2027 with the world premiere of セイ/SE-I/SAY, a two-week durational performance installation created by Tokyo-based artist duo MES.
Founded in 2019, Wonmi’s WAREHOUSE Programs focuses on artist-led experimentation across choreography, improvisation, and community-led composition. Advance ticket reservations and schedule details for all upcoming season events are available through the museum website.
