HGTV has selected a site just outside Nashville, Tennessee, as the location for the upcoming season of its home renovation competition series, Rock the Block. Slated to premiere in early 2027, the seven-episode season will be hosted by carpenter and design expert Ty Pennington. Four teams of design professionals will transform properties in an effort to achieve the highest appraised home value and win a street named in their honor.

The competing teams feature a mix of former contestants and new participants from television design history. Returning competitors include past champions Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt from 100 Day Dream Home, alongside Mina Starsiak Hawk of Good Bones paired with Scott McGillivray of Renovation Resort Showdown. The remaining teams feature Sabrina Soto from The High Low Project with Anthony Carrino of Kitchen Cousins, as well as Paige Davis and Carter Oosterhouse from Trading Spaces.

Each team will be given a $275,000 budget and seven weeks to renovate homes with identical interior floorplans and square footage, though each house features a distinct exterior facade. The properties featured in the competition are constructed by Nashville-based builder J’Adore Luxury Homes. Howard Lee, Chief Creative Officer of US Networks at Warner Bros. Discovery, noted that the lineup pits experienced past contestants against veterans of television design who are joining the series for the first time.

Viewers can stream the new episodes when the season premieres on HGTV and associated streaming platforms in early 2027. Broadcast scheduling details and specific premiere dates will be released closer to the show’s launch.

The previous season of Rock the Block drew 16.4 million total viewers across linear television and streaming platforms. Host Ty Pennington previously worked on HGTV’s Battle on the Beach, while the participating contestants bring prior experience from various home renovation and real estate series across network television.
