Connecticut-based indie-groove band Goose officially launched its 2026 spring tour last weekend, headlining the annual Jam in the Streets festival before a record crowd of more than 25,000 people.

The event, held in downtown Athens, served as the primary fundraiser for Jam for Cam, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting melanoma. The massive street festival has become a staple of the Athens music scene, raising money for cancer research and awareness in memory of late University of Georgia student Cameron Fearon.

Goose took the stage following performances by Moon Taxi and Clay Street Unit. The quintet delivered a high-energy set that spanned original staples and unexpected covers, including a rendition of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ “Don’t Leave Me This Way.”

The performance serves as a prelude to a heavy touring schedule for the band. The official tour begins April 10 in Asheville, North Carolina, before heading to major venues including Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks Amphitheatre later this summer.

Organizers for Jam for Cam noted that the 25,000-person turnout marks a milestone for the organization, which focuses on providing education and support for those affected by skin cancer.

Tickets for the remainder of the Goose spring and summer tour dates are currently available through the band’s official website.
