Woody Auction will host its Art Glass and Furniture Auction on Saturday, October 17, in Douglass, Kansas. The sale begins at 9:30 a.m. Central Time and features online bidding alongside live bidding in the company’s auction hall at 130 East 3rd Street.
The auction offers an array of antique art glass, sterling silver, sculptures, and furniture. A Tiffany Studios leaded glass table lamp featuring a Peony pattern shade serves as the headline lot. The 23½-inch electrified lamp sits on its original bronze base marked Tiffany Studios #28660 and carries an estimated value between $45,000 and $65,000.
Additional featured lots include a 167-piece Heirloom Sterling silver flatware set in the Damask Rose pattern. The set contains 5,035 grams of total sterling weight and carries a pre-sale estimate of $9,000 to $11,000.
Among the glass offerings is an unmarked Wave Crest dresser box in the Goldfish pattern, estimated at $3,000 to $6,000, and a small plated amberina water pitcher by New England estimated at $3,000 to $5,000. A green Fenton carnival glass Peter Rabbit plate from a private Australian collection is valued at $2,500 to $4,000.
An unmarked Loetz art glass vase in the Medici pattern set in an Argentoir silverplate holder carries an estimate of $2,500 to $4,000. The auction also includes a Charles Anfrie French bronze sculpture of a young girl skipping rope, standing 25¼ inches tall, estimated at $1,500 to $2,500.
In-person attendees paying by cash or check receive a zero percent buyer’s premium. Previews will take place at the auction hall on Friday, October 16, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and Saturday, October 17, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Central Time. Remote bidding options are available online and through phone bidding.
