Metallica has announced a series of new North American stadium dates that will extend the band’s M72 World Tour into 2027. Promoted by Live Nation, the new leg begins May 8, 2027, at BC Place in Vancouver and concludes June 19, 2027, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
The upcoming tour leg covers 12 new cities across the American Southwest, Midwest, and other regions. Special guests Limp Bizkit and Avatar are scheduled to support Metallica on all of the newly announced 2027 North American dates.
The M72 World Tour originally launched in April 2023 and has reached nearly five million attendees across 99 shows in 26 countries. The 2027 dates will follow Metallica’s Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which runs from October 1, 2026, through March 13, 2027.
Tickets for the new performances go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 25, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fan Club presales begin Monday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m. local time, with additional presales for Citi cardmembers and Verizon Shine customers running from September 22 to September 24.
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will be directed to local charitable organizations through Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation. Founded in 2017, the nonprofit organization supports workforce education, combats food insecurity, and provides disaster relief to communities worldwide.
