Wilco, Goose, and CAKE to headline ‘No Rest After Fest’ series in New Orleans

ATG Live has announced the 2026 lineup for its “No Rest After Fest” concert series, scheduled to take place at the historic Saenger Theatre during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival season.
The series, which runs from April 21 through May 2, features nightly performances designed to begin after the festival gates close. Most shows are scheduled for 9 p.m. to accommodate fans traveling from the Fairgrounds.
The residency kicks off with a sold-out two-night stand by the jam band Goose on April 21 and 22. Other highlights include an acoustic Grateful Dead “Reckoning” set by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings on April 23, and a double bill of Charley Crockett and Lee Fields on April 24.
A centerpiece of the series occurs on April 25, when Trombone Shorty celebrates his 40th birthday with the 10th anniversary of his “Treme Threauxdown.” The event is set to feature a massive roster of special guests, including Leon Bridges, Eric Church, Jill Scott, and Joan Jett.
The programming continues the following week with alternative rock mainstays CAKE on April 28 and 29, followed by Wilco on April 30 and May 1. The series concludes May 2 with a sold-out reunion performance by the legendary New Orleans funk group The Meters.
“Given the unique nature of ‘No Rest After Fest’s’ programming and the possibility for once-in-a-generation collaborations, there’s nothing quite like it,” the venue noted in a statement.
The 2026 series is the first spearheaded by ATG Live, a newly formed division of ATG Entertainment. The company manages programming for 18 venues nationwide, including the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn and the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.
Tickets for the remaining non-sold-out dates are available through the Saenger Theatre box office and the venue’s official website.
