Singer and songwriter Andy Grammer released his new single, “Love Showed Up,” on September 18 through S-Curve Records and Hollywood Records. The track serves as the latest preview of his sixth studio album, Big Stupid Heart, which is scheduled for release on October 16.
Grammer wrote the song alongside Ryan Marrone, with production handled by Jon Levine and Grammer. Inspired by a friend who experienced a significant personal loss, the 13-track album explores themes of grief, connection, and family through pop arrangements, choral vocals, and cello.
The release follows earlier singles from the project, including “All I Want Is You,” “Best Hearts,” and the title track, “Big Stupid Heart.” The track “Best Hearts” developed from a listener voicemail submitted to Grammer’s podcast, Showing Up With Andy Grammer.
Prior to the album launch, Grammer will perform at Susan G. Komen’s second annual Party in Pink Gala on October 14 at Cipriani South Street in New York City. The event supports breast cancer advocacy and holds personal significance for Grammer, whose mother passed away from the disease.
Grammer will support the new record with his solo concert tour, Greater Than Pt. II: A One Man Show, beginning November 3. The performance format combines his catalog of songs with personal storytelling and audience interaction.
