Food Network has announced the pickup of a third season for its baking competition series Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking. The upcoming season will air as part of the network’s fourth-quarter annual holiday programming lineup.
The second season of the series recorded year-over-year prime ratings increases of 4% among adults 25 to 54 and 15% among adults 25 to 34. Overall, the program reached more than 10 million total cross-platform viewers across linear television, HBO Max, and discovery+.
James and Oliver Phelps will return as hosts for the new season. Production will feature a tournament-style team format, with each competing team representing one of the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin.
Individual episodes in the third season will pay tribute to a specific Harry Potter film in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the original movie release. Competitors will create large-scale edible designs filmed in locations featured throughout the franchise.
The series is produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television for Food Network. Executive producers for the project include Dan Sacks, Bridgette Theriault, and Yasmin Shackleton.
