U2 has announced The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour 2027, the band’s first stadium tour since 2019. Live Nation announced the dates Oct. 15. Beck will open the shows.
The tour starts Feb. 23, 2027, in Mexico City, with a second show there Feb. 26 at Estadio GNP Seguros. The band will then play March 10 and 12 at Estádio MorumBIS in São Paulo, Brazil. Dates in Buenos Aires, Argentina, follow on March 23 and 25 at Estadio River Plate. These are the only Latin American cities on next year’s tour. Dates in Europe and North America will be announced in the coming weeks, and the band is planning a return to Ireland.
The tour supports U2’s 16th studio album, Carnaval de Luz, due Nov. 13. The band also released a new song, “The Greatest Show on Earth,” co-written with Brian Eno. It is the album’s third single. Anton Corbijn directed the video, which was shot in the California desert.
The U2.com subscriber presale begins Monday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. local time. Remaining tickets go on sale Thursday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. local time through U2.com.
The band’s last stadium shows were on The Joshua Tree Tour, which ended Dec. 15, 2019, in Mumbai after playing to almost 3 million fans. U2 recently completed a run of 40 shows at Sphere in Las Vegas. On Sept. 25, the band marked its 50th anniversary with a surprise performance on Dublin’s Grafton Street.
