Carly Rae Jepsen has released her new single titled “On Wires,” which serves as the lead track from her upcoming studio project. The song will be featured on Day and Night, a 24-track double album scheduled for release on September 18, 2026, through Interscope Records.
The new track focuses on the early stages of a relationship and was co-written by Jepsen alongside Nate Cyphert and Kyle Shearer, with Shearer also handling production duties. The song represents the daytime portion of the double album’s 24-hour conceptual cycle.
An accompanying music video filmed in Los Angeles explores the balance between a musical career and motherhood. Director Caio Viera filmed the project while Jepsen was in her sixth month of pregnancy.
To support the album launch, Jepsen is scheduled to perform a headlining set at the All Things Go Festival in New York City on Sunday, September 27, 2026. This festival appearance will mark the singer-songwriter’s first live performance of the year.
The upcoming double album follows a 15-year career that includes the 2012 single “Call Me Maybe” and her 2015 album E•MO•TION. Her previous full-length studio releases also include Dedicated in 2019 and The Loneliest Time in 2022, alongside multiple companion side-B collections.
