Vanilla Ice has released a new single titled Ice Ice Baby 5.0 to mark the 35th anniversary of the original track reaching the top of the global music charts. The updated song is currently available for streaming on all major digital platforms. The release is issued through Ice Baby Recordings and distributed by BFD and The Orchard.
The single precedes a new six-track EP titled Now & Forever, which is scheduled for release on August 28, 2026. The launch date matches the exact calendar date the original single debuted 35 years ago. The physical release will be formatted as a multi-color 12-inch vinyl EP and is currently available for consumer pre-order.
The upcoming EP contains a new single titled New Money alongside updated versions of previous tracks. The tracklist features re-recordings of Get With It, Go Ninja Go, Now & Forever 2.0, and Cool As Ice 2.0. The new musical arrangements incorporate modern studio production techniques while maintaining the core structure of the original tracks.
Rob Van Winkle, known professionally as Vanilla Ice, produced the album, with Helen Murphy and Tommy Quon serving as executive producers. Additional track production was handled by Tate Gregor, T.R.L.L. Kennedy, Luke Silas, Miles Kennedy, and Jordan Sears.
The project was recorded at Power Station Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida. Studio production duties included audio mixing by Hal Gupta-Fitzgerald, mastering by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound, and music clearance by Yolanda Ferraloro of Music Rightz.
