Rock band Barenaked Ladies has released a new song titled “Careful (For Dee).” Written by vocalist and guitarist Ed Robertson, the folk-leaning track follows the band’s recent song “Almost Ready,” which marked their first new music in three years.

The self-produced track features acoustic guitar from Robertson, mandolin by Kevin Hearn, double bass from Jim Creeggan, and percussion by Tyler Stewart. The band members also contribute joint vocal harmonies to the recording.

The release comes during the band’s ongoing North American tour alongside Train and Matt Nathanson. Attendees at concert stops on The Drops of Jupiter: 25 Years in The Atmosphere Tour can purchase an exclusive limited-edition 7-inch vinyl featuring both “Careful (For Dee)” and “Almost Ready.”

The summer tour includes stops at venue locations such as the RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and additional venues before concluding on Aug. 30 in Auburn, Washington.

Following their North American dates, Barenaked Ladies will embark on an eight-date headline tour in the United Kingdom in December. Titled Yuletide Ride, the tour will feature support from Boothby Graffoe and include stops at London’s Eventim Apollo and Manchester’s Albert Hall.

The Canadian quartet, formed 38 years ago, has sold over 15 million records worldwide and received eight Juno Awards. Their recent discography includes the 2023 studio album In Flight and the 2025 companion EP In Flight – Carry On.
