The North Carolina-based musical group John Wood Band has distributed a new independent single titled “Just A Little Longer.” The track is currently available for public access across all major digital streaming platforms. The song was written in a collaborative effort by musicians John Wood, Nick Matthews, Blake Weinbach, and William Bennett.
The tracking session was handled by music producer Wolfgang Zimmerman. The song structure emphasizes a mix of rock, pop, and soul instrumentation to build upon the group’s established performance catalog. To support the current track publication, the ensemble intends to maintain an active national concert touring schedule throughout the remainder of 2026.
The six-piece line-up originally formed in 2025 in Wilmington, North Carolina. The full ensemble project was initiated after singer-songwriter John Wood completed a solo acoustic performance opening for regional acts Winyah and Harvey Street. The current permanent musical roster includes lead guitarist Brody Folkers, saxophonist TJ Roy, keyboardist Grant Harward, bassist Jay Eades, and drummer Caleb Dulin.
The band members initially connected as students attending the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they shared membership in the local Fiji fraternity chapter. Shortly after organizing the complete instrumental lineup, the group secured regional opening performance slots for established acts including Innlet and Congress The Band. The musicians have since transitioned into a full-time traveling live act.
The current touring sets draw from the group’s previous studio recordings, including their debut six-piece project titled the Chronology EP. That specific short album featured earlier tracks such as Dry Eyes and Learn A Lesson. Detailed distribution tracking, audio links, and upcoming domestic concert scheduling are maintained through the group’s central digital media outlets.
