Adult Swim has announced the premiere date for The Terrors of Jordan Mendoza, a new live-action comedy series from writer, comedian, actor, and filmmaker Jordan Mendoza. The quarter-hour series will debut on Sunday, September 13 at midnight ET/PT.
Mendoza created, stars in, directed, and executive produced the show, which follows a frightened man navigating a series of absurd and surreal dreamscapes. The series combines comedy and horror elements to explore personal and universal fears.
The freshman series features guest appearances from several comedic and screen actors, including Thomas Lennon, Marc Maron, Fred Melamed, Haley Joel Osment, Randall Park, Wanda Sykes, Eva Victor, and Steve Buscemi.
The project marks the latest release for Mendoza, whose previous credits include Dave, Chad Powers, Overcompensating, Big Mouth, and Ziwe. Cameron Tang, senior vice president and head of development and current series for Adult Swim, noted that the series provides a platform for Mendoza’s distinct creative voice.
The series is produced for Adult Swim by Avalon, the production company behind Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Workaholics, Starstruck, and Taskmaster. Mendoza executive produces the show alongside Aaron Brown, David Martin, and Jonathan Stern, with Jim Fagan and David Machajewski serving as co-executive producers.
