Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire has installed an 18-hole miniature golf course as part of an effort to expand its year-round activity options. The course sits near the future site of a planned 16,000-square-foot Adventure Center building.
Adventure Golf and Sports designed and constructed the course using modular panels and permeable turf instead of traditional concrete. The design accommodates regional weather patterns, severe frost levels, and water runoff within the White Mountain National Forest area.
The layout features 13 accessible holes on one side of a creek, with a bridge leading to five additional tiered holes set along a 12-foot grade. The terrain includes synthetic bunkers, rough grass sections, and water features integrated into the landscape.
Resort President and General Manager Tim Smith stated that the miniature golf course provides a family activity to complement existing sports facilities like tennis, pickleball, hiking, biking, and regulation golf. Owner Jame Sununu selected the modular design following the 2025 IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida.
The new miniature golf course is scheduled to open officially to the public in June 2027. Construction on the surrounding property will continue with the addition of a maze, an aerial course, and the new Adventure Center building.
