Turning Pointe Autism Foundation raised more than $500,000 during its recent Annual Golf Outing and Ladies’ Brunch & Browse fundraising event. The Naperville-based nonprofit organization welcomed over 325 golfers, guests, and volunteers to Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook.
The funds raised will support the foundation’s educational, therapeutic, and social engagement programs for individuals with autism and their families. During the Ladies’ Brunch & Browse portion of the event, attendees shopped for items created by Turning Pointe students and adult participants.
The brunch featured a panel discussion with guest speakers Abbey Murphy, a two-time U.S. Olympian and reigning gold medalist, and Nicole LaMantia, a two-time Women’s World Championship gold medalist. The hockey stars shared personal stories about perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of support systems in achieving their goals.
Several supporters were recognized with awards during the event for their contributions to the foundation. Gene Hunziker and Ann (Hunziker) Collins received the Dan Wolf Sr. Award, Tracy and Rich Hemmingway received the True North Award, and Scott Harvey was presented with the Community Star Award.
Following the fundraiser, the foundation launched a raffle for a 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend SUV sponsored by McCarthy Ford. Ticket sales are limited to 2,000 entries for Illinois residents aged 18 and older, with the winner scheduled to be announced during the annual Pumpkin Race event on October 24, 2026, in Naperville.
