Minnesota-based breakfast company Seven Sundays has launched Oatcakes, a new pancake mix made with protein oats. The product expands the family-owned brand beyond its traditional cereal, granola, and muesli offerings.
The just-add-water mix is designed to prepare like a traditional pancake while offering the nutritional profile of oatmeal. Each serving provides 10 grams of protein along with more than 20% of the recommended daily value of fiber.
The product line is formulated without gluten, refined sugar, glyphosate, or artificial flavors. Founders Hannah and Brady Barnstable initially developed the concept at home to create a quick pancake option suitable for weekday mornings.
The new product comes in three varieties, including Original, Double Chocolate, and a seasonal Pumpkin Spice flavor available for a limited time. Each retail pouch carries a suggested price of $7.49.
Distribution for Oatcakes begins this month across select national and regional retailers. Consumers can find the line at Target, Sprouts, and Fresh Thyme stores, as well as through the company’s direct website.
