Paramount+ sets June 24 release date for British thriller series Wild Cherry

Paramount+ will premiere all six episodes of the British thriller series Wild Cherry on June 24 in the U.S. and select international markets. The streaming platform confirmed the global release date today, bringing the acclaimed six-part BBC drama to audiences across North America, Europe, and Latin America.

The story centers on two women navigating a sudden crisis in their affluent community. Lorna is a self-made businesswoman, while her best friend Juliet was born into wealth. The two raise their daughters in an exclusive enclave until a shocking scandal implicates the teenage girls.

As secrets spread through the town, the community fractures and Lorna and Juliet find themselves forced to take sides.

Carmen Ejogo and Eve Best lead the ensemble cast as Lorna and Juliet. Ejogo recently appeared in True Detective and The Penguin, while Best is known for roles in House of the Dragon and The King’s Speech.

BAFTA Award winner Nicôle Lecky created and wrote the series. She also serves as an executive producer and acts in the show alongside Imogen Faires and Amelia May.

The supporting cast features a large ensemble. Notable talent includes Sophie Winkleman, Daniel Lapaine, Hayat Kamille, Isabelle Allen, James Murray, and Hugh Quarshie.

Firebird Pictures, a production label owned by BBC Studios, produced the series. Toby MacDonald directed the project. Executive producers include Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Craig Holleworth, Lisa Walters, and Lucy Richer, with Ado Yoshizaki Cassuto serving as producer and BBC Studios handling global sales.
