The Nutella Cafe on Michigan Avenue has reopened following a complete redesign of its space and an expansion of its menu offerings. Owned and operated by Ferrero, the Chicago location at 189 N. Michigan Avenue stands as the only permanent Nutella Cafe in the world.
The updated interior design of the cafe draws inspiration from the classic Nutella jar. The space now features a custom ordering station modeled after the jar’s silhouette, a swirling bronze mesh ceiling, textured walls, and designated zones for dining, ordering, and merchandise.
New additions to the elevated menu include Nutella tiramisu cups, mocha frappes, milkshakes, and ice cream cones. Customers can also choose a new Nutella peanut spread add-on or select from several new gelato flavors provided by Ferrero partner Vero Gelato.
Traditional favorites remain available, including customized Nutella jars alongside new merchandise such as tumblers, key chains, and mini totes. To streamline the guest experience, the cafe will also introduce a digital waitlist notification system and a first-time order-ahead feature for pickup.
The renovation serves as the beginning of a new chapter for the location as the Nutella Cafe approaches its 10th anniversary in 2027.
