NuTrail has officially launched a new national product line called Protein Nut Granola. The grain-free and gluten-free product offers 15 grams of protein per serving with no added sugar. This broad rollout follows a test market period that originally began in May 2025.
The launch is aimed at meeting changing consumer preferences, as industry data indicates that 70 percent of consumers are trying to increase their protein intake. Additionally, about 75 percent of consumers are currently attempting to lower their overall sugar consumption. Survey data from September 2025 also shows that most granola shoppers prefer whey protein and look for at least 15 grams of protein per serving.
The granola is made with nuts and seeds as the primary ingredients, combined with whey protein crisps. Instead of using seed oils, the company bakes the mixture in butter to achieve its sweet and crunchy texture. The new line is debuting under the brand’s new marketing campaign, which is titled Real Good. Feel Good.
Consumers can choose from four distinct flavor varieties. These options include Vanilla Almond, Honey Nut, Triple Berry, and Peanut Butter. The Triple Berry version features freeze-dried blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, while the Honey Nut option uses honey flavor to sweeten the nut and seed mix.
Lauren Manaker, a registered dietitian, noted that the product’s protein content helps people feel full between meals without causing a sugar crash. Lauren Start, the chief marketing officer of NuTrail, stated that the brand developed this recipe specifically to address customer requests for a better-tasting protein granola.
The new granola is available at several national and regional retail locations, including Walmart, Target, Sprouts, Publix, Meijer, and Safeway, as well as on Amazon. Suggested retail pricing is set between $7.99 and $9.99 for the eight-ounce bag, while the ten-ounce bag is priced at $8.82.
