Great American Media has started production on a new original holiday movie titled The Christmas Yes List. The film stars actors Danica McKellar and Sam Page and is based on the novel by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Ferguson. It is scheduled to premiere on Great American Pure Flix, Great American Family, and GFAM+ as part of the Great American Christmas 2026 programming lineup.
The plot of the film follows Chloe Hollis, played by McKellar, an ambitious professional from New York whose tendency to put others first has cost her a desired promotion. She travels back to her hometown of Maple Hills, West Virginia, for the Christmas season. While there, she starts an unconventional holiday challenge designed to help her stop people-pleasing and overcome her fear of rejection.
During her visit, Chloe meets James Stone, portrayed by Page, a successful executive who is spending the holidays in town with his family. Through their interaction, Chloe begins to change her perspective on life and her personal journey. The story is set against a background of small-town life, family gatherings, and local holiday traditions.
Great American Media President and CEO Bill Abbott stated that the movie focuses on themes of faith, family, and vulnerability. Abbott noted that McKellar brings authenticity to her character, while Page provides a portrayal of a man focused on family and faith. He added that the pairing of the two actors creates a relatable connection for the holiday season.
The production of the film is currently underway under Great American Media. The final release is set to broadcast during the network’s seasonal winter programming block later this year.
