Noah Kahan documentary ‘Out of Body’ debuts on Netflix following SXSW win

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Noah Kahan released his award-winning documentary, “Noah Kahan: Out of Body,” globally on Netflix Monday, marking a pivotal moment in the Vermont native’s rapid ascent to superstardom.
Directed by Nick Sweeney, the 94-minute film arrives fresh from the 2026 SXSW Film Festival, where it earned the 24 Beats Per Second Audience Award. The documentary offers an intimate look at Kahan’s life over the last several years, balancing his rise to stadium-level fame with personal reflections on his family and his New England roots.
“It was weird and nerve-racking to be filmed up close and vulnerable for the more intimate moments that I’ve in the past always kept to myself,” Kahan said in a statement. “It helped me understand myself, what I’ve been through in the last few years, what my family has experienced, and how incredibly loved I am lucky enough to be.”
The film serves as a prelude to Kahan’s fourth studio album, “The Great Divide,” scheduled for release April 24 via Mercury Records. The album, which includes the singles “Porch Light” and “The Great Divide,” was produced by long-time collaborator Gabe Simon and Aaron Dessner.

Kahan is set to support the new record with “The Great Divide World Tour” beginning this summer. The North American leg is already sold out, moving more than 1 million tickets and making Kahan the first artist to sell out four consecutive nights at Boston’s Fenway Park. Tickets for newly announced dates in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand go on sale this week.
Since the release of his breakthrough album “Stick Season” in 2022, the two-time Grammy nominee has amassed nearly 15 billion global streams. Kahan also continues to lead The Busyhead Project, his mental health non-profit, which has raised more than $6.6 million to date.
“Noah Kahan: Out of Body” is produced by RadicalMedia, Live Nation Studios, Polygram Entertainment, and Federal Films. Media assets and ticketing information are available at noahkahan.com.
