Discovery Channel has scheduled the premiere of a new television series titled Homestead Rescue: Intervention. The programming will debut on Tuesday, July 14, at 8:00 PM Eastern and Pacific Time. The production is handled by All3Media for the network.
The series features wilderness living experts Marty Raney, Matt Raney, and Misty Bilodeau. The family responds to requests from friends, neighbors, or relatives of individuals who are struggling to maintain remote properties. The episodes follow the family as they arrive to assess operations and assist individuals who are otherwise hesitant to request support.
The premiere episode documents an intervention in the Alaska wilderness involving a family living in tents next to a mold-infested cabin. A relative requested assistance for the family, who face upcoming winter conditions and local predators without preparation. The upcoming season will follow the hosts as they apply building, farming, and hunting experience to properties across Montana, the Arizona high desert, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Vermont.
Specific episodes during the season include a trip to Montana where a previous participant requests an intervention for a family lacking basic infrastructure five weeks before winter. Another episode features a mountain property in North Carolina where relatives raise safety concerns for an individual attempting to survive using online videos. A final segment tracks a Vermont family where a spouse has reached a breaking point regarding hazardous living conditions.
