US Ghost Adventures has secured six nominations in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards across three distinct categories. The nominations cover properties and tour operations in four states and the District of Columbia.
Voting opened on August 24, with a panel of industry experts selecting the initial nominees. Public voting will determine the final winners, which are set to be announced on Wednesday, September 30.
The Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, Massachusetts, received two individual nominations for Best Haunted Destination and Best Haunted Hotel. The 1845 Greek Revival home operates as a bed and breakfast and museum where visitors can stay overnight in rooms once occupied by the Borden family.
Additional property nominations for Best Haunted Destination include the Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa, site of an unsolved 1912 case, and the McInteer Villa in Atchison, Kansas, which the company acquired in 2026. US Ghost Adventures also earned nominations for Best Ghost Tour through DC Ghosts in Washington, D.C., and Colonial Ghosts in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Several of the nominated properties are returning to the ballot after previous recognition. The Lizzie Borden House was a finalist for Best Haunted Hotel in both 2024 and 2025, while the McInteer Villa and Villisca Axe Murder House previously placed as top contenders in the haunted destination category.
