Multi-platinum global superstar Lainey Wilson has released her new single, “Kinda Love It,” via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Co-written by Wilson, John Mayer, Kid Harpoon, and Jon Decious, the upbeat track explores new sonic territory while capturing the thrill of a fast-moving romance.
The release coincides with a series of career milestones for the reigning Entertainer of the Year. Wilson will return to host the 60th Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 18, marking her third consecutive year hosting the ceremony.
In addition to hosting duties, Wilson is nominated for three awards this year, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Single of the Year for “Somewhere Over Laredo.” Her current radio single, “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” which features John Mayer on guitar, continues to climb the country radio charts.
The singer will also join Harry Styles for four upcoming performances at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium in May. These appearances follow a busy year that included stadium dates with Chris Stapleton, the release of her Netflix documentary Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, and an acting role in Universal’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Wilson has secured nine number-one hits and numerous multi-platinum certifications throughout her career. Beyond her music, she has expanded into acting with appearances in Yellowstone and Netflix’s Leanne, alongside business ventures including apparel and home goods collections.
