The rock band Shinedown has achieved its first-ever entry on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with their single “Searchlight.” The track debuted at No. 54 on the chart dated June 27, drawing 980,000 radio audience impressions during the tracking week of June 12-18, according to data from Luminate.
The country chart entry follows the song’s prior success on rock radio formats earlier this year. “Searchlight” previously reached the No. 1 position on both the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and the Mediabase Active Rock chart.
The band recently extended its existing historical records for the most No. 1 songs on both major rock charts with another track, “Safe And Sound.” That song marked the group’s 23rd chart-topper on Billboard and 25th on Mediabase over their 20-year career.
The charting tracks are part of the band’s latest album release, titled EI8HT, which was produced by bassist Eric Bass at Big Animal Studio in Charleston. Pre-release singles from the record have accumulated over 91 million streams across digital music platforms, with the track “Three Six Five” also reaching the top spot on Alternative radio.
Shinedown is currently traveling on the Dance, Kid, Dance Act II World Tour, which includes more than 50 performance dates across 11 countries. The band is donating $1 from every ticket sold on the tour to City of Hope, a cancer research and treatment organization.
The tour schedule will be followed by the band’s first curated festival event, Shinedown’s Lunatic Ball Beach Weekend, scheduled for October 23-25, 2026, in Miramar Beach, Florida. The three-day music destination event will feature two headlining performances by Shinedown alongside sets from Bush, Hanson, and Flyleaf.
