Confectionery company HallPass launched its product lineup nationwide at Walmart stores and online on August 30, 2026. The new brand was developed by entrepreneurs Peter Rahal and Michael Tierney under Medici Brands, the parent company behind David Protein.

The initial product launch features three items: Peanut Cups, Peanut Creme Crispy Wafers, and Chocolatey Candy Pieces. Each serving is formulated to provide the taste and texture of traditional candy while containing 70 calories and 1 gram of sugar.

The company was founded on the concept of updating traditional candy options to offer lower calorie and sugar profiles without altering the overall eating experience. The founders drew inspiration from changes in the beverage industry, specifically the rise of reduced-calorie sodas like Diet Coke and Coke Zero.

HallPass has positioned its products to compete directly on store shelves with traditional confectionery brands. The line is priced at standard retail rates for candy rather than carrying the higher price point typical of low-sugar or low-calorie alternatives.

The nationwide rollout at Walmart marks the official market entrance for the brand. Additional distribution details and future product expansions under Medici Brands have not yet been announced.
