Farm Aid 2026 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 26, at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach. The annual music and food festival features a line-up of musical artists donating their performances to support family farmers and local agricultural organizations.
The festival roster includes performances by Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Margo Price, and Nathaniel Rateliff. Additional featured performers include Turnpike Troubadours, Lukas Nelson, Ty Myers, Mike Campbell, Jesse Welles, Sierra Ferrell, Mon Rovîa, I’m With Her, Amythyst Kiah, Lily Meola, Chris Pierce, and the Wisdom Indian Dancers.
In addition to stage performances, the event offers interactive educational zones running from noon to 5 p.m. The HOMEGROWN Village features hands-on activities focused on soil, climate, water, and ocean farming, alongside an exhibit honoring farmer veterans. Attendees can also participate in seed-swapping, view culinary demonstrations, and contribute to a public mural planned for the Old Beach Farmers Market.
All concessions served during the festival are sourced from family farmers using ecological production practices. Food items include Virginia-grown peanuts, farmstead cheeses, Chesapeake poutine with local blue crab, and grass-fed beef burgers, all served on compostable serviceware. A special estate lager brewed by Wheatland Spring Farm + Brewery using regeneratively grown grains will also be available.
Organizers have partnered with Support+Feed to hold a food drive benefiting the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Festivalgoers are encouraged to donate non-perishable plant-based items. Ahead of the main festival, a free public event called the Farm Aid Family Reunion will take place on Friday, September 25, at Neptune’s Park during the Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend.
