Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Wuthering Heights” will make its global streaming debut on HBO Max on Friday, May 1. The film, which stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, is also scheduled to premiere on the HBO linear channel on Saturday, May 2, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Directed and written by Emerald Fennell, the film is a new interpretation of the Emily Brontë novel. Robbie stars as Cathy alongside Elordi as Heathcliff in a cast that includes Academy Award nominee Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell. Fennell also produced the project with Josey McNamara and Robbie.

A version of the film featuring American Sign Language (ASL) will be released on the streaming platform simultaneously with the standard version. Performers Leila Hanaumi and Giovanni Maucere provided the ASL dubbing under the direction of Justin Jackerson. This release marks the first romance title on HBO Max to feature two ASL dubbers.

The film joins a streaming catalog that includes selections from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, and Turner Classic Movies. Executive producers for the production include Tom Ackerley and Sara Desmond. Promotional materials and trailers for both the standard and ASL versions have been released ahead of the May premiere.
