BABYMETAL releases new remix, announces 2026 World Tour
Global J-metal phenomenon BABYMETAL released a new single on Friday, a Major Lazer remix of “from me to u,” marking the first track from the upcoming “METAL FORTH (DELUXE EDITION).” The expanded record is scheduled for release on June 26 via Capitol Records and will be available digitally and on vinyl, including a limited zoetrope pressing.
The deluxe edition features three live performances and two remixes of “from me to u (feat. Poppy),” including the new versions by Major Lazer and Jordan Fish. The original “METAL FORTH” debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 last year, making BABYMETAL the first all-Japanese fronted group to reach the U.S. Top 10. The project has amassed over 200 million global streams to date.
Following the group’s annual Fox Day celebration, BABYMETAL also announced a 2026 World Tour spanning North America and Latin America. Halestorm and Violent Vira are set to support the band on their North American dates. Tickets for the U.S. and Canada are currently on sale, while Latin American dates begin artist presales on Monday, April 20, at 10 a.m. local time.
Formed in 2010, the group consists of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL. Over its 15-year history, BABYMETAL has opened for acts such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, and Lady Gaga. Beyond its U.S. success, “METAL FORTH” achieved top 10 positions in Germany and Japan, as well as career-high chart placements in the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom.
