Debbie Gibson released Winterlicious D’Luxe on Friday, an expanded version of her 2022 holiday album Winterlicious. The deluxe edition keeps all the tracks from the original and adds six new songs.
The new material includes the lead single “Lit Up!”, a big band-style song about holiday love. It also features “El Regalo,” her first release in Spanish, and “Out of the Blue Christmas,” which mashes up her top 5 1988 hit with an Elvis Presley classic.
A double vinyl edition of Winterlicious D’Luxe is due Nov. 6. Gibson will then perform five shows at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower in Las Vegas on Dec. 17, 18, 19 and 20, with both a matinee and an evening show on Dec. 19.
Tickets for the Las Vegas run are on sale through The STRAT’s ticketing site. Gibson said the shows will feature holiday favorites, both original and classic, along with her pop hits. She described the production as festive and campy, set in an intimate showroom.
“As a long time Las Vegas local I’m so thrilled to also be partnering with SPI Entertainment and The STRAT for my first ever solo holiday Vegas run,” Gibson said.
Gibson has stayed busy in recent years. She released her memoir Eternally Electric with Gallery Books last year, and her 2021 album The Body Remembers, her first pop album of original material in 20 years, came out on her own label, Stargirl Records. That album reached No. 2 on the Apple Pop Sales Charts and passed one million streams in its first month.
Since 2022, Gibson has appeared on Good Morning America, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She also appeared at the Grammy Museum and toured the United States on her “The Body Remembers Encore” tour.
