The Cranberries will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their fifth album, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee, with an expanded Deluxe Edition on Jan. 29, 2027. The reissue comes through Geffen/UMe in several formats, including a limited edition 1LP “Liquid” vinyl filled with coffee. That edition includes a scratch and sniff coffee-scented sticker.
Other formats include a 3LP, a D2C edition, a 2CD, a 1LP in color, and a 1CD. A limited edition 1LP in Skyburst Blue vinyl and a standard 1LP in black vinyl are also planned. The Digital Deluxe Edition will include all 36 tracks.
The 3LP black vinyl and the 2CD limited edition come with B-sides and previously unreleased live songs recorded at Dublin’s Vicar Street. They also feature new 2026 stereo mixes by original producer Stephen Street and the sought-after track “7 Years.” Expanded liner notes add new photos and a track-by-track retrospective from the band.

The band recorded the album right after finishing a 110-date tour for their fourth album, Bury the Hatchet. Instead of taking a break, they went straight into the studio. “Often at the end of a tour you feel burned out, but this was the exact opposite; we were buzzing and wanted to capture that energy and togetherness in the studio,” said guitarist Noel Hogan.
The album reunited the band with Street, who worked on their first two albums, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? and No Need to Argue. “The boys were exactly the same; we just picked up where we’d left off, which was wonderful,” Street said. Singles “Analyse” and “Time Is Ticking Out” helped drive the album, and drummer Fergal Lawler said, “Creatively, Dolores was on fire.”
