Grammy Award-winning producer and author Charlie Peacock will release his debut novel, Once Concealed Now Revealed, on November 17 through It’s Time To Art Press. The book serves as the follow-up project to his 2025 memoir, Roots & Rhythm: A Life in Music.
The narrative follows two generations of the Taylor family as they navigate trauma and family secrets across the Bay Area, Sacramento, and rural Tennessee. The story centers on Augie Taylor, who faces the return of physical symptoms linked to buried secrets while dealing with a family crisis and a high-stakes work assignment.
Alongside the book release, Peacock recorded two original gospel songs featured within the novel’s storyline. The tracks, “Hallelujah, Your Love Has Set Me Free” and “New Life Down at the River,” will launch later in November through the It’s Time To Art label.
The hardcover, paperback, and ebook editions are distributed nationally through Ingram, with an audiobook version narrated by Adam Verner available on digital platforms. Preorders are open online through standard book retailers.
Peacock will hold a free public book release event at Parnassus Books in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, November 20, at 6:30 p.m. Peacock is a producer and recording artist whose career includes work with Switchfoot, The Civil Wars, and the 12 Years a Slave soundtrack.
