Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ann Wilson has announced an upcoming studio album titled Consecrated Ground alongside the psychedelic rock group Tripsitter. The new record is scheduled for release on August 14, 2026. The collaborative project combines heavy rock, psychedelia, and blues elements with a focus on raw storytelling.
The album announcement coincides with the immediate public release of the project’s lead single, titled “I Will Not Be Coming Back”. The new track features instrumentation from Tripsitter and focuses heavily on themes of liberation, transformation, and self-determination. The song is currently available across all major digital streaming media platforms.
The new music project marks the latest development in Wilson’s career following a recent return to live performing. Earlier this year, she resumed live shows on Heart’s Royal Flush Tour after completing a recovery from cancer. Her active projects also include the recent launch of a digital podcast program titled After Dinner Thinks, which features discussions with prominent artists and cultural figures such as Chappell Roan, Lucy Dacus, and Billy Bob Thornton.
Wilson is also set to be the subject of a forthcoming biographical documentary film titled In My Voice, which focuses on her life, personal resilience, and musical career. As the primary lead singer and songwriter for the band Heart, she previously recorded rock classics including Barracuda, Crazy On You, Magic Man, Alone, and These Dreams. The group achieved over 35 million global album sales before being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
The upcoming collaborative studio album marks more than five decades of professional musical work for the recording artist. Pre-order distribution paths for Consecrated Ground have launched through online retail outlets ahead of the August release date.
