Acoustic Sounds announces inaugural Vinyl Summit in Salina

Acoustic Sounds will host the inaugural Vinyl Summit from Oct. 15-18, 2026, marking 40 years of the company’s operations in the analog music industry.
The four-day event in Salina is designed as an immersive experience for audiophiles, vinyl collectors, and dealers. The summit will feature a record fair, a high-fidelity audio show, and rare behind-the-scenes access to Acoustic Sounds’ vinyl production and mastering facilities.
Founded in 1986 by Chad Kassem, Acoustic Sounds grew from a one-man mail-order operation into an independent analog ecosystem encompassing mastering, pressing, printing, and distribution.
“Acoustic Sounds began as a one-man mail-order operation that has since grown into both a global analog powerhouse and the standard-bearer for audiophile vinyl,” the company stated Thursday.
The event will include live performances at multiple venues, including Blue Heaven Studios—a restored 1920s church—and the historic Stiefel Theatre. The lineup of “Acoustic Sounds-approved” artists includes Taj Mahal, Chico Freeman, Big Mud Morganfield, Jimmie Vaughan and Robert Finley.
Industry figures scheduled to appear include Daryl Wilson of Wilson Audio, Merck Mercuriadis of Hipgnosis Song Management, and Michael Fremer of The Tracking Angle.
Tickets for the event are currently available, and the summit will offer culinary options ranging from Cajun classics to Kansas-style barbecue. Interested dealers and attendees can find more information at the Acoustic Sounds website.
