The holidays are hitting Broadway early this year as the Grammy®-winning musical Hell’s Kitchen has released a brand-new festive track titled “Hell’s Kitchen’s A Merry Little Christmas.” The single, available now via Alicia Keys Records/Interscope Records, blends the timeless warmth of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” with the soulful power of Alicia Keys’ “The Gospel.” Produced by Adam Blackstone, the mash-up features four-time Grammy® winner — and the show’s newest cast member — Yolanda Adams, alongside Amanda Reid, Phillip Johnson Richardson and Jessica Vosk.
The release follows last week’s announcement that gospel icon Yolanda Adams will join the cast of Hell’s Kitchen in a limited engagement, alternating the role of Miss Lisa Jane with Tony Award® winner Kecia Lewis from November 21 through December 16. Lewis will give her final performance December 13, after which Adams will take over the role exclusively through January 25, 2026.
Directed by five-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Greif and choreographed by five-time Tony nominee Camille A. Brown, Hell’s Kitchen continues to captivate audiences at the Shubert Theatre with what Variety has praised as a “powerhouse cast.” The production stars Jessica Vosk, nine-time Grammy nominee Durrell “Tank” Babbs, Kecia Lewis, Phillip Johnson Richardson and Amanda Reid, supported by a dynamic ensemble of more than 30 performers.
Inspired by Alicia Keys’ upbringing and fueled by her iconic catalog — along with newly written songs — Hell’s Kitchenfollows 17-year-old Ali on a journey of self-discovery, resilience and community. The show’s high-energy choreography and emotional storytelling have resonated with audiences since its world premiere at The Public Theater last fall, leading to a five-week extension before transferring to Broadway in spring 2024.
The creative team behind Hell’s Kitchen includes some of theatre’s most celebrated talents, with scenic design by Tony nominee Robert Brill, costume design by Tony winner Dede Ayite, lighting design by Tony winner Natasha Katz, sound design by Tony winner Gareth Owen, and projection design by Tony nominee Peter Nigrini. The production’s orchestrations are led by Tom Kitt and Adam Blackstone, with arrangements by Alicia Keys and Blackstone and music direction by Garret Heaey.
Hell’s Kitchen began Broadway performances on March 28, 2024 and opened April 20 to critical and audience acclaim. Tickets are available now at HellsKitchen.com, Telecharge.com, and at the Shubert Theatre box office.
With electrifying performances, iconic music and now a festive new single to set the tone for the season, Hell’s Kitchencontinues to prove why it’s one of Broadway’s most exciting and emotionally powerful shows.
