The progressive bluegrass band Greensky Bluegrass has announced a new series of autumn headline concert dates across the United States. The upcoming tour continues the group’s promotional cycle for their latest studio album, titled XXV.
The newly added fall stops include performances at Maymont in Richmond with special guest Béla Fleck, the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, and the Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham. The tour itinerary also features a scheduled date at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, along with multiple other venues.
Public ticket sales for the majority of the autumn dates are scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 20, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. This general sale timeline applies to all newly announced locations except for the performances scheduled at The Signal in Chattanooga and the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York.
The band is currently traveling on a North American summer headline tour prior to the autumn dates. The summer schedule includes performances at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, the Crystal Ballroom Theater in Portland, a two-night engagement at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, and a stop at GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids.
The group’s anniversary album, XXV, was released this past October to mark exactly 25 years since the band formed. The tracking list features collaborations with several notable musicians who have worked with the band over their career, including Billy Strings, Sam Bush, Nathaniel Rateliff, Aoife O’Donovan, Lindsay Lou, and Holly Bowling.
The tour announcement follows the April release of the documentary film Find Ourselves Lost, The Iceland Sessions, which premiered on nugs and YouTube. Directed by music photographer and videographer René Huemer, the feature-length film tracks the band’s creative recording sessions at Flóki Studios in rural North Iceland while documenting group discussions on mental health and addiction.
