Global music icons Duran Duran unveiled their first new music of 2026 on Thursday with the release of “Free To Love,” a high-energy single featuring longtime collaborator Nile Rodgers. The track arrives just ahead of a North American West Coast tour and a scheduled performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday, April 29.

Co-written by Rodgers, the song is described as an uplifting “cyber-funk” anthem intended for the dancefloor. The release marks the latest chapter in a partnership between the band and Rodgers that dates back more than 40 years to his remix of the hit single “The Reflex.” Lead singer Simon Le Bon described the new track as “disco for the 2020s,” noting that the song is about “loving the modern world instead of hating it.”

The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Jonas Åkerlund, known for his work with Madonna and Beyoncé. The video stars British broadcaster Clara Amfo and was produced in association with Italian luxury perfumer Xerjoff. The visual language of the film was inspired by the band’s co-created fragrance, NeoRio, which founder Sergio Momo said reflects a desire to “transport people into entirely different worlds.”

Following their West Coast headline dates, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will return to Europe and the United Kingdom. The band is slated to headline London’s BST Hyde Park for the second time on July 5. With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, the group continues to tour following the success of their sixteenth studio album, 2023’s “Danse Macabre.”
